so did anyone see the movie stranger than fiction?
i just got back from that and seriously.. WTF, MATE?
was that movie SPONSERED by spoon or what?!?
every musical interlude was brought to you by spoon. i heard a lot off the album i really liked, a few off the semi-new one.. and near the end i heard couple songs i didn't recognize.
which either were by a different band (god forbid) or were off an upcoming album we're all supposed to get really excited about.
don't get me wrong.
huzzah for spoon.
but.. BUH?
in other news,
i went to see reel big fish last week (yeah. suck.).. but i only went 'cuz streetlight manifesto was opening for them and, what can i say, i have a weak spot for them.
i had so much fun though.
i really miss getting to jump around in the pit and just kick the shit out of people.
no one expects it from someone my size and i love to fucking surprise them.
also. i now have a treadmill in my apartment that i have consistently been using (minus the last weekend) every day. today i didn't use it because i actually ventured outside and took a real walk.
that was nice.
lastly.
i'm really fucking looking forward to hawaii.
i don't care what anyone has to say about that shit.
i am going to have a fantabulous time.

so against my best rational judgment, i followed my heart and purchased tickets to go to hawaii for a week over xmas/new year's.
i'm really excited about it!
i've never been to hawaii before and i'm stoked to be somewhere beautiful and warm over the xmas holiday.
the days are already starting to get so short and winter is pretty much here (where did fall go? seriously.).
i'm almost so excited that i cannot fathom how i'm going to be able to get through the 2 months 'til xmas.
in other news, halloween turned out pretty fun.
on friday, i went to a few parties that were good. i was in kind of fowl mood (sorry to anyone that was hanging out with me) so i didn't really drink much.. but i had to drive home and i don't think i got there 'til like 2 anyway.
earlier, we went out to dinner at this japanese place where i got teriyaki chicken (i know. boring choice.) on a skewer (yes, the skewer made it better) with extra rice instead of veggies. i also bought these sweet chopsticks that i was going to use for my lulu hair.
saturday was ann-marie's housewarming in belleville. good food, good company. ann-marie = love.
we all met up later at dan's house dressed up and ready for halloween fun.
dan dressed up as frankenberry (http://theimaginaryworld.com/tic569.jpg). a post of halloween pictures may follow if i can find some.. otherwise, you'll just have to imagine the awesomeness.
jake also found me at state street bar so i left the work gang and we headed to a bonfire party at kai (sp?) 's house. it was pretty nice except that by 5am i was finding it hard to breathe in my corset.
all in all, i'm pretty happy about how the weekend turned out.
especially because of the 1am phone call on sunday night. :)

i'm getting pretty excited about halloween lately.
i'm going to be lulu from ffx. (see above)
i'm having a really hard time putting together the skirt.. but hopefully it'll turn out. otherwise, i might be the hamburglar (if not, i'm gonna do this definitely next year!).

i'm thinking about going to the galapagos for my birthday.
(or.. hawaii.. ?)
going somewhere warm for my 24th (golden!) birthday would be absolutely fantastic!
last weekend i went to milwaukee and saw matt nash and folks.
that was pretty nice.
i also learned how to play mexican train. i've never actually played dominoes before.
this weekend is halloween festivities and ann-marie's housewarming.
off to make dinner!
